The Skapones are a 2Tone INSPIRED original Ska band based in the Tees Valley in England.

The group got together back in 2013 to play a music that they all love, and the chaps perform their hot original 2Tone inspired material with the objective of making you think, dance and smile.

The debut original album of material "Cradle To Grave" was released to critical acclaim in early 2018. They have 3 Number Ones in the UK Reggae Charts and charted in the National Charts back in December 2023 with their most successful single ever, “Windrush”. They have released 22 singles and are working on Album No.6 and have appeared on compilations across the globe

They have played with The Specials, Madness, The Beat, The Selecter,The Skatalites and many many more and recorded with members of The Specials & Madness.

The Ultimate ORIGINAL band that have toured across UK, Europe, Ireland & the USA bringing the 2Tone sound and ethos forward into Y2K!

It is with great pleasure that we can announce the arrival of DRUMMER SAM UPSHALL to THE SKAPONES!

Sam comes with good pedigree,having played in local bands including a local reggae outfit.

Hes a quick learner, and brings a lot to the band especially a drive to do well and loves what he does.

Hello there Skaponites

The Skapones train Phase 3 has run its final adventure on the track and has pulled off into a Maintenance shed to be spruced up, the rusty bits replaced, then bodywork rubbed clean and ready for Phase 4.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, it is with regret that we inform you we have to bring a pause to our live shows for a couple of months due to personnel changes.

We will still be very active, new album coming and time to get to better places!

Another weekend, another festival and another hot one (Not complaining)

The Gliderdrome in Boston, Lincs. was the setting for the One Love Boston Ska & Reggae festival and its a place steeped in history. Every band of legend has played there - bands like The Who, ELO, T Rex, the list goes on..

Fabulous venue, stage and lighting, great crowd and great organisation- cheers to Craig Cresswell for asking us.
