A support to Stiff Little Fingers & The Happy Mondays beckons!

As the weather starts to change at last after a harsh winter in the North East, the glints of sunshine and green grass turn our attention to the up and coming warmer months

We have just been announced as the opening act for Stone Valley Festival North at Stanhope, Co.Durham in June. We did play the 2nd one we think it was and filled the tent with bouncing dancers , this back in our early days but we are now, by our own admission, a tighter unit now.

We are looking forward to SVF and getting those scooterists jumping! Before they sample the delights of mega punks STIFF LITTLE FINGERS

We are also looking forward to whats becoming our spiritual home and that's the Lindisfarne Festival at Beale nr Holy Island in Northumberland and we hit the stage on Friday August 31st here. To top it off, we have our mates from Bombskare playing the fest but on the Friday night, we act as support to headliners The Happy Mondays! Not bad at all! Wonder if Bez fancies a dance with us?

We played Lindisfarne last year to a completely packed beer tent and we went down a storm so its with great excitement we have been asked back!

We are also heading back to Shotley Bridge Eistedffod and the Leadgate Big Bash Festivals again which is fantastic- had great times here last time! and not forgetting the marvellous CHILLI-FEST in Northumberland in July!

Wow! what a weekend!

Friday February 9th we played to a packed out SOLD OUT crowd with our friends Big Fat Panda at The Forum Music Centre, Darlington  before racing up to the second launch gig on Saturday February 10th at The Citrus Club, Edinburgh!

We'd like to thank The Pandas and all of you who came out to support us and we hope you enjoyed your free goody bag including the brand new vinyl 7" single of "Cradle To Grave/Home Street Home"

Here we are celebrating getting to No.1 with champagne & chocolate orange!

We'd like to say thank you again to all of you who helped take our debut single "{From} Cradle To Grave" to No.1 in the UK Reggae Charts on its day of release on 15th January.

Its been a crazy week and the messages have been non stop and the reviews have been fantastic. We are still overwhelmed.

Monday 15th January 2018 was a monumental day in Skapones history.

Our debut track "(From) Cradle To Grave", written by guitarist Mark Wilson and keyboard player Steve Cummings was released on digital download.

The response to it was OFF THE SCALE!

We cannot thank all of you enough for downloading our original composition - what it means is beyond words.

IT WENT TO NUMBER ONE IN THE UK REGGAE CHARTS ON ITS DAY OF RELEASE!
